TORONTO, ONTARIO, July 22, 2014, Romios Gold Resources Inc. (TSX.V-RG) ("Romios" or the "Company") today announced that it has started a mapping and sampling program on various showings and will be evaluating mineralized occurrences at the Newmont Lake Property which is 30 km northwest of Barrick Gold's Eskay Creek gold mine. The exploration program, expected to initially take three weeks to complete, involves a four-person team of geologists and geo-technicians that are well-experienced in this northwestern portion of the Stikine Terrane.
The focus of the 2014 program will be to follow up on the work completed to-date and new information obtained from the September 2013 airborne ZTEM and magnetic geophysical survey carried out by Geotech Ltd. Last year's Burgundy Ridge Discovery and the possible extensions to the north and south of the on-strike mineralized occurrences of the Telena and '72 Zones will be tested.
More than seventeen discrete magnetic anomalies have been outlined in the Geotech survey of which nine currently appear to be unexplained geologically and could represent significant exploration targets.
Further details on the program are set out in the Company's news release dated June 26, 2014.
