TORONTO, ONTARIO, September 18, 2013 Romios Gold Resources Inc. (TSX.V: RG) is pleased to announce the completion of a helicopter-borne ZTEM electro-magnetic survey conducted by Geotech Ltd. over its Newmont Lake Project Area, located within the world-class Golden Triangle mineral district of northwestern British Columbia.
The survey covers 359 line kilometres of data along east-west lines, spaced at 300 metres over zones where extensive mineralization has been demonstrated. The ZTEM system provides unparalleled depth penetration in precision electromagnetic measurements. The survey was flown over the Northwest Zone, '72 Zone, Telena Zone, Ken Zone and the recently discovered "Burgundy Ridge" Zone containing porphyry-related copper and gold-bearing sulphide mineralization extending over 100 metres in elevation along trend of the "72" and "Telena" Zones. (See News Release, September 4, 2013 with pictures of the mineralization on the Burgundy Ridge on the Company's website, http://www.romios.com/s/BurgundyPhotos.asp) . The area is interpreted as one of the principle epicentres for porphyry mineralization throughout the entire Newmont Lake Project Area and is an excellent target for future drill campaigns. Assay results from the grab samples, continuous chip and 84 grid samples from the Burgundy Ridge Zone taken in August will be released when they are received and analyzed.
Processing of the digital data and mapping is expected to take approximately another two weeks to complete. Results will be announced as soon as they are received and the technical review is completed by the Company.
