Kevin M. Keough
CEO
Mr. Keough holds an Honours BSc degree in geological sciences from Queen’s University, following studies in both engineering and geology. He brings a robust technical foundation complemented by extensive international experience in mineral exploration, project and corporate management, private equity, finance, capital markets, communications, and business development. Motivated by discovery, Mr. Keough commenced his career in the Canadian oil patch prior to moving to Anglo American Corp. and De Beers, where he explored for gold and diamonds in South Africa and Angola, targeting the latter into prospects that ultimately led to long-life mining operations. Later he served senior ministers in the Canadian government followed by ten years in the investment banking, venture capital and technology sectors in Canada and the U.S. From 2004 to present he has served in a senior executive capacity with a succession of both public and privately held exploration juniors active in Canada, the U.S., Mexico and southeast Asia. A highlight of Mr. Keough’s career includes serving as the founding President and CEO of GT Gold which, under his leadership, delivered both the Saddle South Au-Ag epithermal discovery (July 25, 2017) and the massive Saddle North Cu-Au porphyry discovery (December 13, 2017), acquired by Newmont Corporation in 2021.
