Press Releases

TORONTO, ONTARIO - May 16, 2005 - Romios Gold Resources Inc. ("Romios") (TSX VENTURE:RG) Management of Romios is pleased to announce that Fugro Airborne Surveys has been contracted to carry out extensive detailed magnetic surveys at the Company's Newmont Lake Project located in northwestern B.C. The project is situated approximately 30 kilometers southeast of Novagold Resources Galore Creek Project.

The Newmont Lake Project hosts numerous intrusion related copper gold prospects and is believed to have potential to host alkalic type porphyry copper gold mineralization similar to Galore Creek. Based on the fact that these types of deposits exhibit a close association with magnetite mineralization, data from these surveys is expected to provide extremely useful targeting information for the 2005 field program.

The airborne surveys are scheduled to commence immediately and ground follow-up programs will begin as soon as possible.
